Please note this policy applies usually to grass fields.  Keep in mindSoccer is played in the rain.

If the City of Vaughan closes the fields, games are cancelled and played on alternate date that the two opposing coaches must arrange.

The field closure hotline for the city is 905-832-8577 press 2.

Please note: be patient, listen to the voice message, and wait for the prompts given by the recording.

For all competitive and recreational: If the message is "fields are open" please go to your assigned field. If the message is "fields are closed" then the game is cancelled and it will be played on alternate date that the coaches will advise parents.

If the City of Vaughan does not cancel the fields the cancellation policy is as follows:

All Recreational and Competitive Teams It is the sole responsibility of the referee to cancel games due to poor weather conditions at the time of kick-off. If after 15 minutes there is no improvement (i.e. lightning continues) and the referee feels the game is unsafe to play, the game will be cancelled. Games will be played on the alternate rain date which will be arranged by the two coaches who will inform the soccer club and parents.
