Be sure to include:·

- The person you would like to nominate
- The team and volunteer position
- The award category that best fits
- Why the nominee deserves the award

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION AWARDS - AWARD CRITERIA GUIDELINES:

COACH OF THE YEAR (2 AWARDS YOUTH BOYS & GIRLS HOUSE LEAGUE) (2 AWARDS YOUTH BOYS & GIRLS COMPETIVE)

· Showed an above average amount of commitment to the teams over the past 12 months as a VSC volunteer coach
· Did not miss many practices; consistently punctual
· Implement practices with the end goal of player development in mind
· Showed ability to demo proper technique; found the correct opportunities to stop and teach players
· Created a supportive, competitive environment at all practices/games
· Showed good sportsmanship (Was not abusive to officials, used appropriated language, led by example)
· Showed a good rapport with the players on the team
· Players showed substantial improvement by the end of the season
· Players had a positive, fun soccer experience

Volunteer of the Year

· Significantly impacted and benefited the VSC over the past 12 months in a volunteer capacity
· Is innovative, adaptable and has worked without need of reward or recognition
· Embodies the spirit of volunteerism through encouraging and inspiring others to volunteer.
· Conducted themselves with a high level of cooperation, integrity, consistency and enthusiasm
· Encouraged a positive & beneficial environment for youth and fellow volunteers

Lifetime Achievement Award

· Significantly impacted and benefited the Vaughan Soccer Club
· Over an extended period of several years or lifetime
· Made a significant contribution to the development of Soccer in Vaughan Soccer Club
· Is innovative, adaptable and has worked without need of reward or recognition
· Embodies the spirit of volunteerism through encouraging and inspiring others to volunteer|
· Conducted themselves with a high level of cooperation, integrity,
· Consistency and enthusiasm
· Encouraged a positive & healthy environment for youth and fellow volunteers

Note: The Lifetime Achievement Award is not an annual award, and may not be awarded every year at the discretion of the VSC. VSC understands and values that staff spend many hours above and beyond their compensated duties for the benefit of the club. However, for the purpose of the Volunteer Awards, if a nominee has worked in a paid position for VSC in the past 12 months, they are not eligible.

A warm thank you to Ron Smale (President of the OSA) for chairing the VSC AGM meeting along with all the special guests: Ron Smale, President of the OSA, Tony Barbieri and Vicki Lowe [YRSA], Adriano Biasini – City of Vaughan – Recreational & Permits Dept.brought greetings from the OSA and congratulated Vaughan Soccer for its outstanding contribution to the growth of soccer in our community.

Location: 8 Merino Place, Maple (known as the Maple Lions Building). Time: AGM meeting time 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

Vaughan Soccer's 2018 AGM Coming Up!

Every year Vaughan Soccer Club holds its annual general meeting [AGM]. It is a great opportunity for our members to meet and participate in the selection of YOUR club's board of directors. We begin the process by calling on all our members to nominate suitable candidates! If you have a club member in mind, you are encouraged to submit their name and position directly to Sandra Colica via email to admin@vaughansoccer.com [please submit before October 31st. 2018]

AGM – Sunday, November 18, 2018
Location: 8 Merino Place, Maple, Ontario
Begins at 1:30pm to sign in, 2:00pm Sharp AGM starts to 5:00pm

Nomination deadline - NOW CLOSED: October 31, 2018

All Vaughan Soccer Club's members are encouraged to come out to the Vaughan Soccer Club's Annual General Meeting which will take place on Sunday November 18, 2018.. The location will be 8 Merino Road, Maple Ontario (Building known as Lion's Club). The time for the meeting will be at 1:30pm to 5pm: 1:30pm to sign in, meeting will start at 2:00pm sharp!

Below are the board positions that are up for elections this year as per the club constitution
